Product Details

Lowers chlorine use and helps maintain balanced pool chemistry by stabilizing chlorine in all pool types. Protects chlorine from UV breakdown to reduce chlorine loss and keep your pool sanitized longer.

How to use
  1. Apply directly to water with the circulation system running. Pool use may resume 15 minutes after the product has fully dissolved.
  2. Calculate the required amount: 2.5 lbs per 10,000 gallons of water increases cyanuric acid by 30 ppm (1 lb = 2¼ cups).
  3. Add directly to the pool or slowly to the skimmer. If using the skimmer, remove the basket, add half the dose, and the rest after 8 hours. Brush or vacuum any settled product.
  4. Allow the product to circulate for 2 to 5 days before testing cyanuric acid levels.
  5. Avoid backwashing or rinsing the filter during this time.

See label for detailed instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does a chlorine stabilizer do?
A: It protects chlorine from being broken down by UV rays. This keeps your chlorine active longer and reduces how often you need to add it.

Q: How much stabilizer should I use?
A: It depends on your pool’s current Cyanuric Acid level. Ideal range is 30–100 ppm. Always test before adding and follow the dosage on the label.

Q: Can I use this in a saltwater pool?
A: Yes! It works in saltwater, chlorine, and bromine pools of all types.

Q: When should I add chlorine stabilizer?
A: Usually at the start of the season or after water dilution (like heavy rain or refills). Monitor levels regularly to maintain optimal range.

Q: Is it safe for vinyl, fiberglass, or concrete pools?
A: Yes—it’s safe for all pool surfaces and won’t affect liners or equipment when used as directed.

Stabilize those chemical

This was essential when opening my pool this year. Although this bag is not big, it does do the job for one use. It’s stabilizes by chemicals to make sure my readings are all correct for longevity of the pool and water clarity. It works as it should and I have no complaints. That’s all face. It chemicals are expensive but this was reasonably priced and it was good to try it.

Good volume of chemical for the price

Came in a heavy-duty bag which I expect will hold up well, and is a good price for what you get.

Had no CYA, now I do!

When I opened my pool this year I had no CYA. This brand seemed like a good deal and it’s 100% CYA which makes me feel good about what I’m adding to the pool and that there aren’t extra chemicals that will mess up my balance. My favorite dispensing method is in a sock tied to a pool pole hanging in front of a jet. After a day or two, with some intermittent squeezing of the sock everything was dispersed. I checked my CYA and the levels were where I wanted them to be.
