Product Details

This chlorine stabilizer is designed to help support balanced pool chemistry by reducing chlorine loss caused by sunlight exposure when used as directed. By helping stabilize chlorine levels, it can assist with maintaining consistent sanitation across different pool types.

How to use
  1. Apply directly to water with the circulation system running. Pool use may resume 15 minutes after the product has fully dissolved.
  2. Calculate the required amount: 2.5 lbs per 10,000 gallons of water increases cyanuric acid by 30 ppm (1 lb = 2¼ cups).
  3. Add directly to the pool or slowly to the skimmer. If using the skimmer, remove the basket, add half the dose, and the rest after 8 hours. Brush or vacuum any settled product.
  4. Allow the product to circulate for 2 to 5 days before testing cyanuric acid levels.
  5. Avoid backwashing or rinsing the filter during this time.

See label for detailed instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a chlorine stabilizer do?

A chlorine stabilizer helps protect chlorine from being broken down by UV rays. By slowing chlorine degradation from sunlight, it can help chlorine remain effective for a longer period as part of routine pool care.

How much stabilizer should I use?

The amount needed depends on your pool’s current cyanuric acid (CYA) level. It is recommended to test water before application and follow label directions based on test results. Typical target ranges may vary depending on pool conditions.

Can this be used in a saltwater pool?

Yes, this stabilizer is compatible with saltwater, chlorine, and bromine pools when used according to the product instructions.

When should I add chlorine stabilizer?

Chlorine stabilizer is commonly added at the start of the pool season or after significant water dilution, such as heavy rain or refilling. Regular testing can help determine when adjustments are needed.

Is it safe for vinyl, fiberglass, or concrete pools?

This product is formulated for use on common pool surfaces, including vinyl, fiberglass, and concrete. When used as directed, it is intended to support pool water care without affecting surfaces or equipment.
