This pH Increaser & Alkalinity Booster Bundle is designed to help address low pH and total alkalinity levels in spa water when used as directed. Supporting balanced water chemistry can assist with stabilizing spa water conditions and promoting consistent chemical performance as part of routine maintenance.
Alkalinity Booster
- Test for total alkalinity with a reliable test kit. The desired range for total alkalinity is 80–140 ppm.
- Add 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) of AquaDoc Alkalinity Booster Granules to spa water.
- Allow water to circulate for 30 minutes.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 until the desired level is reached.
- For best results, first dissolve the granules in a small plastic pail of water before adding to spa.
pH Increaser
- Use the pH Increaser when pH measures below 7.2.
- Turn on air blower, jets, or filter system.
- Add 1 oz. of the product for every 100 gallons of spa water.
- Retest water after 30 minutes.
- Follow steps 1–3 until pH and total alkalinity are in the range of 7.2–7.8 and 80–140 ppm.
Can I use both products at the same time?
It is recommended to test your spa water first and apply the alkalinity increaser before adjusting pH. Avoid combining the products in the same container and follow label directions for proper application.
What’s the correct order—pH or alkalinity first?
Total alkalinity should be adjusted first, followed by pH. Proper alkalinity levels can help buffer and stabilize pH adjustments.
How do I know if I need this bundle?
This bundle may be helpful if spa water testing shows low pH (below approximately 7.2) or low total alkalinity (below approximately 80 ppm). Always confirm with water testing before application.
Is it safe for all spa types?
Yes, this bundle is formulated for use with chlorine, bromine, and saltwater spa systems when used according to label instructions.
What are the ideal levels?
Commonly recommended ranges are a pH of approximately 7.2–7.6 and total alkalinity between 80–120 ppm. Regular testing helps maintain these ranges.
