Frequently asked questions
What's in the Hot Tub Triage Kit?
Ten essentials in one box: Chlorinating Granules (8 oz), Chlorine-Free Shock (8 oz), pH Increaser (16 oz), pH Decreaser (16 oz), Alkalinity Increaser (16 oz), Calcium Increaser (14 oz), Stain & Scale (16 oz), Water Defoamer (8 oz), Water Clarifier (16 oz) and 7-in-1 Test Strips (100 count).
Does it work with bromine hot tubs?
This kit is built around chlorine granules, so it's set up for chlorine hot tubs. Running bromine? The Bromine Hot Tub Starter Kit is the better match.
How often should I test and adjust pH and alkalinity?
Test at least once a week. Keep pH between 7.2 and 7.8 and total alkalinity between 80 and 140 ppm, using the pH and alkalinity products in the kit as needed.
What chlorine level should my hot tub be at?
Aim for 3 to 5 ppm of free available chlorine. Test regularly and add Chlorinating Granules when the level drops.
How do I handle cloudy water and foam with the kit?
Water Clarifier takes care of cloudy water and Water Defoamer knocks down foam. Follow the directions on each bottle for dosing and safety.
What if the kit doesn't fix my problem?
If our products don't solve your hot tub headaches, contact us for a 100% refund. You can also call us at (877) 278-2006 and we'll help you figure out what your water needs.
